A viral X post shows a disgruntled customer claiming that a Halal restaurant is not Halal in lieu of them having the word Sinalau. However, the owner chimed in and states that sinalau means salai and not “babi.”

Disgruntled customer claims sinalau means “babi”

Apparently a very popular pork dish would have the word sinalau in front of it. However, netizens state that if the dish has the word “bakas” in it, then only those who are required to have a Halal diet should be concerned.

Others noticed a typing error in the disgruntled customer’s text citing that Muslim customers should continue eating there rather than to stop eating there. Regardless, netizens feel that the ultra-sensitivity towards small businesses should be toned down.
