KUANTAN: An image of an unusually large speed bump, which caused an uproar on social media, is not from Kuantan, confirmed Kuantan City Council’s Norkamawati Kamal. Investigations revealed the speed bump was not installed in Kuantan or any district in Pahang, but in another state.

The image shared on Warga Kuantan OFFICIAL Facebook page worried netizens, fearing it could damage vehicles or cause accidents, especially for motorcyclists. This recalls a 2021 incident in Besut, Terengganu, where a man installed 11 speed bumps near his house due to noisy vehicles, only to remove them later at authorities’ request.
