Melaka KPDN director Norena Jaafar stated that the trader falsely claimed the extra charge was to cover banking service fees. This incident is the first of its kind in Melaka this year. Norena urged consumers to check receipts and prices to avoid unnoticed additional charges. Further investigation is ongoing.
