In the trial of Zayn Rayyan Abdul Matin’s parents, 142 photographs were presented as evidence in court, documenting the injuries sustained by the six-year-old autistic boy. Detective Cpl Mohamad Hirwan Arifin, the prosecution’s first witness, testified that he captured images of the victim’s autopsy at Sungai Buloh Hospital, as well as his belongings, including bags and a water bottle. Photographs from the crime scene at Apartment Idaman, Damansara Damai, were also submitted. The parents, accused of neglect, were visibly emotional during the proceedings. Zayn was reported missing on December 5, 2023, and found dead in a nearby stream the next day.
