Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi announced that 884 high-performing students from the Tuisyen Rakyat RISDA programme will each receive RM300 for excelling in the 2024 SPM exams. Among them, 17 scored 11As, and 72 earned 9As.
884 Rural Students Rewarded RM300 Each for Excellent SPM Results
This marks a major improvement from 2023’s results. Zahid praised the programme’s impact on rural education, supported by 1,005 teachers across 201 centres.
Since 2007, RM31 million has aided over 35,000 students. He also highlighted the success of TVET initiatives like UP_TVET and UCAM, both of which have contributed to high employability rates and increasing rural participation in higher education and skilled careers.
