Citing the census, he notes 4.8 million women face delayed marriage due to financial woes, lack of suitable partners, or career focus. This prompted Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh to state that late marriage is not a problem for the government to solve because if there is ‘jodoh’ then people will get married.
