Kuala Lumpur: AirAsia is under fire over a zoom call in Thailand that went Completely wrong!

This has led the airline to issue an apology after the video of a top executive scolding a female employee using profanity went viral.

The budget airline’s Thailand chief executive Tassapon Bijleveld interrupted a woman asking a question during a virtual town hall meeting.

Bijleveld is heard using expletive words to ask her to get to the point, and told her to “shut up” when she spoke in Thai.

In a response to media, AirAsia’s boss Tony Fernandes says he rebuked Bijleveld but disagrees with others who claim the incident was sexist.

He and other AirAsia executives attracted online criticism for not speaking up for the employees in the video in circulation
