Airbus Plane Catches Fire in Busan, All 176 Evacuated

An Airbus plane caught fire at Busan’s airport in South Korea, forcing the evacuation of all 176 people on board. Four were injured while escaping on inflatable slides. The blaze started at the tail before takeoff and spread to the fuselage.

Firefighters arrived within minutes to extinguish the fire. This incident follows a fatal Jeju Air crash in Muan less than a month ago. The cause is under investigation. Air Busan is a budget airline under Asiana Airlines.
