Parti Amanah Negara has denied involvement in the RM230 million zakat fund misuse case under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (SPRM). Secretary-General Faiz Fadzil said attempts to link Amanah to the scandal were politically motivated, stressing the need for transparent investigations as zakat funds are meant for asnaf, not personal gain.

SPRM confirmed assets worth RM150 million were seized, though Chief Commissioner Azam Baki clarified the probe concerns public donations, not zakat. Separately, Amanah condemned efforts to form a “kerajaan tebuk atap” in Negeri Sembilan, warning it could destabilize governance after Umno assemblymen withdrew support for Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun.
