Another bullying case has emerged involving a student from the National Defence University of Malaysia (UPNM). A first-year student, aged 19, suffered severe injuries, including fractured ribs and a broken spine, after reportedly being stomped on by a senior on October 21. Kuala Lumpur Police Chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa confirmed that a report was filed on November 8. The incident took place near the university’s drill field when the student was called over and attacked by a third-year student. The case is being investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code, which carries a prison term of up to seven years and a fine. Meanwhile, authorities have urged the public to avoid speculation. This follows an earlier incident at UPNM where a student was reportedly burned with an iron while ironing a senior’s uniform in the dormitory.
