KUALA LUMPUR, June 23, 2025 – A Merdeka Center mid-term survey reveals 73% of Malaysian voters cite economic issues as the nation’s top challenge under the Madani administration. Despite this, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s approval rating rose to 55% from 53% in December 2024, with 36% dissatisfied and 9% neutral. His ability to secure a two-thirds parliamentary majority and ensure stability has eased governance fears. Government performance splits evenly at 50% satisfaction and 48% dissatisfaction. Younger voters (21-30) are optimistic (54%), while those aged 51-60 are most pessimistic (59%), with 68% of Indians feeling the country is off track.
