PETALING JAYA – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has hinted at a major announcement soon, posting on social media about an “extraordinary gesture of appreciation for Malaysians.” Segamat MP R Yuneswaran separately revealed that a resolution on judicial appointments and the chief justice’s post has been reached, urging calm and avoiding speculation before an official statement in two to three days. Subang MP Wong Chen also confirmed an announcement is imminent after a meeting with Anwar, where he raised key concerns. Government spokesman Fahmi Fadzil said Pakatan Harapan MPs were briefed on judiciary issues, while Anwar described the meeting as having gone “very well.”
