KOTA BHARU, Sept 18, 2026, The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) in Rantau Panjang assisted in the burial of a 23-year-old man weighing 250 kilograms at Gual Tinggi Cemetery yesterday.

APM officer Lt (PA) Mohd Fuad Ismail said the team received a request from the Health Ministry to transfer the body from Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia in Kubang Kerian to Masjid Al-Hidayah for prayers before burial. The operation lasted nearly five hours, involving one officer, two personnel, and a lorry. Villagers also helped ensure the burial was completed smoothly.
