Apple says Bug in iOS 17 Cause of iPhone 15 Heating Up Now

Apple has acknowledged that some new iPhones may run warmer saying a bug in iOS 17 software is one cause and it will be addressed in an upcoming update. Additionally, the initial warmth might be due to increased background activity during the device setup or restoration, Reuters reported.

Some third-party apps, including Asphalt 9, Instagram, and Uber, have caused overloads on the system, and Apple is collaborating with developers to fix these issues. The company assured that this problem doesn’t pose safety risks and won’t affect long-term performance, especially for iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, which have improved heat dissipation. Reports say some iPhone 14 were also facing heat issues.
