KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 — The Sessions Court heard that former Perlis Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man made overseas travel claims totalling RM954,830.10 between 2014 and 2017. Assistant Accountant Mohd Aswad Abdul Razak testified. He mentioned that the claims involved invoices from Sri Kedawang Travel & Tours and Aidil Travel & Tours. These invoices were for flight tickets, hotel stays, and tour packages to London.
Azlan Man
Azlan, 67, faces five charges of submitting false claims for overseas holiday facilities exceeding RM1.18 million, allegedly committed at the Perlis State Secretary’s Office from 2013 to 2017. He is charged under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009, which carries penalties of up to 20 years’ jail and hefty fines upon conviction.
