PETALING JAYA: The MFL have eased their punishment towards Selangor for refusing to play the Charity Shield fixture against JDT on May 10, reducing the fine from RM100,000 to RM60,000, while the compensation payments for losses incurred by JDT and MFL will still be maintained.

Selangor’s three-point deduction for the 2024-2025 Super League season has also been cancelled. Meanwhile, a crowdfunding initiative has been launched to help Selangor FC pay off the RM100,000 fine it was slapped with by the MFL.
