As Bersatu faces increasing signs of being sidelined within Perikatan Nasional, its leaders have turned to new political engagements.

On Wednesday, Bersatu Secretary‑General Mohamed Azmin Ali revealed that the party held a meeting with the top leadership of Muda.

Azmin said the discussions focused on building “value‑based politics” that could deliver prosperity to all Malaysians. He welcomed Muda’s perspectives, noting that both parties share similarities in their progressive, moderate, and people‑centric principles.

The meeting was also attended by Bersatu vice presidents Radzi Jidin, Ahmad Faizal Azumu, and Nolee Ashilin Mohammad Radzi.

According to Azmin, the dialogue emphasized the need for a political approach rooted in values, inclusivity, and benefits for citizens regardless of background.

The development comes at a time when Bersatu is perceived to be marginalized within PN.

Earlier, on July 17, Bersatu President Muhyiddin Yassin announced plans to form a new coalition “greater than PN” after the Negeri Sembilan state election.

The coalition is expected to involve parties under the Ikatan Prihatin Rakyat umbrella, including Putra and Urimai.
