Boutique Owner Arrested for Selling Counterfeit Chanel Handbags

A West Palm Beach woman, Arlene Bonner, 64, has been charged with selling counterfeit Chanel handbags at her Palm Beach boutique. Following a month-long investigation, police arrested her for selling counterfeit goods valued between US$2,500 (RM11,000) and US$20,000 (RM88,380), a third-degree felony.

Bonner was released on a US$5,000 (RM22,100) bond, with her arraignment scheduled for April 10. An undercover officer purchased a counterfeit Chanel handbag from Bonner for US$635. Police found five additional counterfeit bags. 

The investigation, called “Operation Botox & Bags,” revealed the counterfeit goods were hidden in the store’s rear storage area.
