KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian police are investigating the disappearance of a 17-year-old British teenager, David Renz Galletes Balisong, who arrived in the country on June 7. Acting Bukit Aman CID director Datuk Fadil Marsus said David entered via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and is believed to still be in Malaysia. David Balisong, from Cheadle, Greater Manchester, had told his brother on June 6 that he was leaving early for school, where he was sitting for his A-level exams.
“Investigations are ongoing to gather all information that can assist in locating him,” he said in a statement. The case is classified as a missing person. Authorities have released David’s photo and urged the public not to speculate. Anyone with information can contact Insp Hazuin Jan Abdul Hamid at 017-7369187.
