Malaysian celebrity Chef Zam recently criticized a popular restaurant chain for its overpriced Nasi Lemak. In his TikTok post, Chef Zam shared that he paid RM17.90 for a set of Nasi Lemak with Chicken Rendang and Teh Ais.

The plain Nasi Lemak, priced at RM5.90, lacked sambal, which was sold separately. The Chicken Rendang, costing RM4.90, had a small portion. Chef Zam expressed his frustration, noting that even kindergarten students receive larger portions. He also tagged the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN) to address the issue.
