PLUS Activates Contra Lane on North-South Expressway After Major Accident

PLUS Malaysia Berhad said all northbound lanes were closed to allow rescue and fire operations, forcing traffic to divert at the Kulai Toll Plaza. Congestion peaked at 11km before a contra lane was activated between KM40.3 and KM40.65 southbound to ease flow.

As of the afternoon, delays of six to eight kilometres were still reported, with clean-up and removal works ongoing. PLUS confirmed lanes are being reopened in stages.

Motorists are advised to plan journeys, use alternative routes, and follow instructions from personnel at the scene as recovery efforts continue.
