Conditional PN Support For Sabri Valid Or Not?

1 min read

Kuala Lumpur: Umno vice-president Ismail Sabri Yaakob must not appoint leaders facing criminal charges as ministers if he comes to power if he becomes PM.

This is a condition imposed by outgoing prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin in exchange for Perikatan Nasional’s support.

However, Ambiga Sreenevasan from Bersih says the PN’s conditional support for Sabri to be prime minister should not be considered valid, adding that MPs’ support for the prime minister must be unconditional.
