Bribes, ranging from RM150 to RM750 per lorry depending on size, were taken to allow smuggled goods to bypass inspections. Daily collections reached RM6,000. Under Ops Airways, MACC seized vapes, cash, and devices worth RM17.9 million. Fourteen suspects, including six Customs officers and company directors, were arrested. Investigations indicate the syndicate has been active since 2023.
