A 49-year-old man died after falling from a 6.1-metre-high motorcycle bridge onto railway tracks at Kampung Pinang Seberang, Kamunting, near Taiping on Thursday (Oct 2). Perak Fire and Rescue Department Acting Assistant Director of Operations, Shazlean Mohd Hanafiah, said an emergency call was received at 2.10pm, and nine personnel from Kamunting Fire and Rescue Station were dispatched.
Cyclist Dies
The victim, who was cycling, suffered fatal injuries upon impact with stone blocks along the tracks. His remains were later handed over to the police for further action.
