KUALA LUMPUR, March 16 — Several DAP leaders voiced disagreement over Deputy Minister M Kulasegaran’s meeting with activist Arun Dorasamy at the Jawi Court Complex in Penang. In a joint statement, Sheikh Umar Bagharib Ali, Young Syefura Othman, Syahredzan Johan, and Syerleena Abdul Rashid said the move sparked public concern over judicial integrity.

They stressed that Kulasegaran’s presence, while holding government office, risked perceptions of interference. Arun, 56, faces charges for allegedly making unlawful statements via Instagram. The leaders clarified that DAP has not taken any official position on Arun’s case, urging respect for due legal process.
