SINGAPORE – A man was shocked to find his 55-inch Samsung QLED TV screen had fallen off and cracked when he returned home on Feb. 26 after a two-week trip. Lim, the owner, said his child never meddled with the TV, which was not exposed to direct sunlight.

Initially, Samsung told him the set was out of warranty and advised buying a new one. Lim argued it was a safety hazard, not just a defect. After further escalation, Samsung collected the TV for repair at no charge and confirmed the issue had been resolved.
