Google announced its RM9.4 bil investment commitment in Malaysia, which includes the development of its first data centre and a Google Cloud region. But, Pedoq, what is this behaviour? asked how can a data centre create so many jobs, urging ‘experts’ to enlighten him. A few X users responded. One said the large number of workers employed at such sites would be construction workers in particular and they may not all be Malaysians. After the centre is built, they do not employ more than 1000 workers.

Another X user was sceptical. They said it is possible that the ‘experts’ to be employed at data centres would be tech guys from India for example. Most of the comments pointed out they do not believe a lot of Malaysians will be employed. What do you have to say?
