PAS MP Dr Halimah Ali has criticised the BUDI MADANI RON95 initiative, saying the 6 sen fuel price reduction does little to ease Malaysians’ financial burdens.

She argued that while the subsidy benefits over 16 million citizens, it fails to address deeper issues like stagnant wages, rising living costs, and subsidy leakage.
In a Facebook post, she claimed the move merely makes the government appear caring without offering real economic relief. Dr Halimah also questioned the effectiveness of fuel price cuts in lowering goods prices, urging for a more comprehensive strategy to tackle inflation and import dependency.
