Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Presiden Bersatu, was advised by UMNO’s Datuk Puad Zarkashi to stop dreaming of becoming Prime Minister again and focus on resolving his court cases. Muhyiddin claimed his 17-month tenure successfully navigated the Covid-19 pandemic, boasting of loan moratoriums and KWSP withdrawals. However, Puad labeled him a failed leader, citing the poorly executed Movement Control Order that doubled deaths from 2,800 to 5,768 in 38 days. Bloomberg ranked Malaysia third-worst among 53 major economies in Covid-19 handling. The White Flag Movement symbolized his ultimate failure. Puad mocked, “Does Muhyiddin have a short memory?”
