Alor Setar, March 21, 2025 – Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor staunchly defended the enduring relevance of Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS), asserting that its Islamic foundation sets it apart from non-Malay parties like DAP or PKR. Speaking on Thursday, Sanusi argued that PAS’s adherence to Islamic principles —ensures its timeless appeal. “PAS remains relevant… it’s a party of Islamic politics, unlike others swayed by shifting trends,” he said. While non-Malay parties pivot to pragmatism or multi-ethnic agendas, Sanusi emphasized PAS’s unwavering mission: advancing ita agenda through governance. He dismissed calls for rebranding, noting that unlike parties chasing electoral viability, PAS’s strength lies in its ideological core, exemplified by leaders like Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, whose global Islamic influence bolsters its unique standing.
