Perak PKR information chief Azam Afandi has endorsed Nurul Izzah Anwar, PKR vice-president and daughter of president Anwar Ibrahim, to challenge incumbent Rafizi Ramli for the deputy presidency in the 2025–2028 term. Azam emphasized Nurul Izzah’s ability to uphold reformist values and ensure PKR’s relevance, stating, “Her nomination is not merely about personality, nor legacy. It’s about the future of PKR.” Nurul Izzah, defending her “reformasi” legacy, has not confirmed a bid. Meanwhile, Titiwangsa PKR chief Syed Badli Shah urged Rafizi to step aside for Saifuddin Nasution Ismail, who is yet to announce his candidacy. Nominations open soon.
