The Reproductive and Social Health Education Guidelines (PEERS) module will receive increased teaching time under the 2027 School Curriculum, announced Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.
Education Ministry Expands Reproductive Health Teaching in Schools
The module aims to enhance awareness of reproductive health among students, teachers, and parents. Fadhlina emphasized that all Ministry of Education (MOE) institutions must adhere to the guidelines to address sexual harassment and strengthen psychosocial support services.
She also expressed concern over paedophile-linked social media pages featuring students and called for immediate reporting. Parents were urged to be proactive in educating and protecting their children, stressing their role in safeguarding their dignity and well-being.
