Speaker Johari Abdul intervened, advising Wan Saiful against further claims in the parliament saying it is hearsay and he as speaker cannot verify the accusations. He adds that the Parliament is not the place for such accusations and the MP had to resort to making a police report on the matter. Syed Saddiq criticized Rayer’s dismissal, emphasizing the seriousness of the alleged threats. Wan Saiful faces charges of receiving bribes and soliciting undisclosed amounts for a highway project. The MACC has since called up Wan Saiful to explain on the allegations he made in Parliament.
