The account, “Bat Tuo Sai,” carried a comment insulting Quranic verses and former prime minister Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on an Astro Awani post about his death. MCMC stressed that misuse of digital platforms to insult religion, incite hatred, or disrupt harmony in Malaysia’s multiracial society will face stern action. The commission reminded the public to use social media responsibly.
