Fake kidnapping to get RM2000 from husband. Woman now fined and jailed three months

In a case of extortion, Syuzzana Yahaya, 32, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment and fined RM2,000 for demanding money from her husband, Zakaria Mohd Nooh, through a fake kidnapping plot. Syuzzana and her lover, Mohd Feardous Osman, 42, threatened Zakaria via WhatsApp, demanding RM2,000 to avoid harm to his family.

The incident occurred on July 26 in Pekan Nanas. Syuzzana pleaded guilty, while Mohd Feardous pleaded not guilty. Both were charged under Section 385 of the Penal Code, with Mohd Feardous granted RM5,000 bail. The case is set for further mention on September 2.
