A 20-year-old fast food employee, Muhammad Wan Azhar Azman, pleaded guilty in the Sessions Court today to charges of car theft and reckless driving, which seriously injured a man. Judge Azrul Darus denied him bail, setting December 2 for case details and a probation report for sentencing. Muhammad was charged under Section 379A of the Penal Code for stealing a Honda Civic belonging to D. Joshua Jeyaseelan, 30, in Putrajaya on October 23. He also faces charges under Section 307 for attempted murder, accused of dangerously driving the car, causing Mohamed Jalil Iskandar, 28, to fall off and suffer severe injuries.
