KUALA LUMPUR – The Federal Territories MIC division has joined Kedah and Penang in urging the party’s central leadership to withdraw from Barisan Nasional (BN). Division chairperson S Rajah said MIC has been sidelined under BN leadership, pointing to BN chairperson Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s failure to defend component parties. He criticised the government’s decision to assign PKR vice-president R Ramanan to oversee projects involving temples and Tamil schools, questioning why MIC, with its 79-year history, was overlooked. The call reflects growing grassroots frustration, placing pressure on MIC’s top leadership to review its position in BN.
