Filipino Man Ends Man’s Life Over RM50 Mobile Phone Debt Collection

KOTA KINABALU, Sept 27— A Pakistani trader was brutally killed in Keningau after attempting to recover a RM50 mobile phone instalment debt. Police said the 30-year-old victim was attacked by a 33-year-old Filipino man following an argument over four months of unpaid instalments. The trader’s body, found with head injuries in a shallow grave in Kampung Kitung on Sept 23, was discovered after a missing person report. A second Filipino suspect admitted to assisting in burying the body. Both men have been remanded for seven days to facilitate the murder investigation.
