Two men were killed and nine others injured in a collision between a van and a Land Cruiser on the Pan Borneo Highway near Skrang Clinic, Betong.

The victims were among eight passengers in the van, six of whom sustained serious injuries. Three others in the four-wheel-drive were also hurt. The Betong Fire and Rescue team arrived at 12.22pm, 23km from their station, following an emergency call at 11.59am.
Health officials confirmed the fatalities at the scene, while the injured were sent to Betong Hospital. Police are working to identify all victims and investigate the cause of the crash.
