Flying Taxis for the Hajj
The country aims to stay ahead in transportation technology, including flying taxi services, with Saudi Arabian Airlines planning to operate 100 aircraft for this purpose. These electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, such as the Lilium jets, will shuttle pilgrims between Jeddah Airport and hotels near Masjidil Haram in Makkah. Each aircraft can carry four to six passengers, revolutionizing travel during the Hajj pilgrimage.
