In Shah Alam, eight individuals pleaded not guilty in the Shariah High Court to charges linked to the deviant Tuhan Harun sect. The accused—three men and five women—were charged under the Shariah Criminal Enactment (Selangor) 1995 for false claims, including declaring themselves as “god clones” and promoting similar beliefs via Telegram groups. Arrested during a raid in Sepang by JAIS, the group was found with devices and documents tied to the teachings. Shariah Judge Dr. Zainal Abidin Kusmin granted oral bail with two sureties. The case, carrying potential fines or imprisonment, will be mentioned on December 23.
