Government Allocates RM13 Billion for Cash Aid to Tackle Living Costs

The government has allocated nearly RM13 billion for the Sumbangan Tunai Rahmah (STR) and Sumbangan Asas Rahmah (SARA) cash aid initiatives to help Malaysians with rising living costs. Deputy Minister of Economy Datuk Hanifah Hajar Taib announced an additional RM300 million for the Payung Rahmah initiative and RM700 million for price control programmes.

RM40 million is allocated for the Price Standardisation Programme in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan. The MyPAKW application was introduced to help families plan expenses, while the National Action Council on Cost of Living (NACCOL) focuses on seven priority areas to address rising costs.
