A netizen posted on Twitter saying that Malaysia today has numerous vacancies available for all kinds of jobs. They questioned the F&B industry, and Grab has insufficient workers and that there are an abundance of jobs available. To top it all, the netizen asked where are the youths today to accept all of these jobs readily available for them.
Another netizen replied saying, with low pay and they’d work you till the very last brim, who in their right mind would want to accept such a condition? Another question was asked stating is it normal for someone to work RM30 for a full 12 hours a day. Low pay like that is pretty common especially in the F&B industry stated by the netizen.
One netizen stated that a fresh grad applied for a job requesting RM4,000 a month for a technician role. The boss of the company said the pay they requested is too high, and the response was ‘if I become a Grab driver, I can easily make that monthly salary’. It is stated that most of these jobs are offering minimum wages and it isn’t enough to cover the costs of today.
