1 min read

BEIRUT — Two Indonesian UN peacekeepers were killed in southern Lebanon after their vehicle was destroyed by an explosion, marking the second deadly incident in 24 hours. UNIFIL confirmed two others were injured, one critically. The attack came as clashes between Israel and Hezbollah intensified, with Israeli strikes also killing a Lebanese soldier and three Hezbollah members near Beirut.

Lebanon has reported over 1,200 deaths since the conflict erupted following Hezbollah rocket attacks in retaliation for the killing of Iran’s supreme leader. The UN condemned the violence, while France and Spain called for urgent Security Council discussions and a ceasefire.
