The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) seized RM143 million in assets linked to a highway concessionaire with a Tan Sri title, accused of misusing sukuk funds for a Klang Valley highway project. In a major operation last week, MACC confiscated RM4.5 million from 14 individual accounts, RM33 million from eight company accounts, a RM24.5 million luxury condominium and land, nine cars worth RM7.65 million, luxury watches, handbags, jewellery, four horses, and foreign assets. The haul also included RM20 million tied to gambling, exposing a lavish misuse of public funds.
