Recently, a viral photo of an iced milk tea laced with a cockroach in it has become the debate among X users. They state that vermin like these are common in restaurants, but not one of this size. If it’s able to enter a customer’s drink, it means the sanitation of the eatery is not on par.

Netizens on X are joking that the vermin is actually a date (kurma). Apparently some Malaysians think that the fruit and the insect look similar, while some may disagree on it, the common mindset is that they do look similar.
Some users state that roaches this size is a sign that a place is not clean enough. An X user states that their favorite hiding spots are in sewers, and they love to fly into food.
