Home Minister Saifuddin Nasution Ismail is leaving things entirely to the relevant agencies to investigate allegations of assault against Malaysia Border Control and Protection Agency (MCBA) director-general Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain.
The incident involving Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) director-general Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) occurred at Terminal 1 on September 28 and later sparked widespread attention after a video circulated online.
Attorney General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the investigation papers had been received by the AGC for review. Police have so far recorded statements from 25 witnesses as part of the investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code, which covers voluntarily causing hurt, illness or bodily weakness.

Mohd Shuhaily had earlier said he would leave it to the government to decide on any action following the viral video. The AGC said every aspect of the investigation would be assessed before determining the next course of action.
