Our 9th Prime Minister Ismail Sabri was seen wearing a Burberry shirt that’s priced at RM5,500 while shaking hands with Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in Tokyo recently. Netizens on Twitter mentioned his shirt is not professional enough for said events especially as a world leader.
They claimed that Ismail Sabri should’ve worn a suit while meeting other leaders. However, during the official event he did wear a formal suit. The photograph taken of him wearing a Burberry shirt was during a private meeting with Singapore’s PM.
There were netizens defending our PM, stating if he wore an expensive polo shirt or a batik, nobody would’ve complained. They further stated that people are just looking for faults in our PM. Others replying to them stated that he’s wearing an expensive shirt that costs a lot more than the minimum wage of the country.
