Japan Open: Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Make History Now Winning the Final

Malaysian men’s doubles pair Goh Sze Fei and Nur Izzuddin Rumsani achieved a historic victory in the men’s final of the Daihatsu Japan Open 2024 in Yokohama, Japan. The duo triumphed over South Korea’s Kang Min Hyuk and Seo Seung Jae with straight-set scores of 21-19 and 21-15.

This win is notable for being the first Malaysian men’s doubles title in 22 years and the first final appearance in 12 years. Goh and Nur Izzuddin are now the fourth pair to win this prestigious championship. As a reward for their remarkable performance, the pair will receive a cash prize of US$62,900.
