The topic of consistent low wages and overworking is a common thing when working in Malaysia. Our capital city, Kuala Lumpur is one of the most overworked cities in the world. Netizens now complain that the jobs offered to them are “depressing.”
Job Hunting in Malaysia now depressing
Apparently, 82% of locals earn below RM5,000. This would disqualify most of us from ever owning our own home. Furthermore, a netizen states that a relatively large bookshop chain offered them a job for RM3,000 and they would still have to work 6 days a week.
Others are shocked that the amount of people earning below RM5,000 are surviving in our current economic climate. This whole issue stemmed from an expert citing that youngsters in our country are not prioritizing to purchase houses for themselves.
